I worked very hard on this, so I'd appreciate if you'd comment AND favorite.
Hooray! She's finally done! My goodness, does she look beautiful! I had a lot of fun coloring Sonatadasuku-chan!
In case you're wondering what the deal is with all the Japanese in this post, it's because I'm trying to learn Japanese and anime (chiefly Pokémon) has always been a major inspiration to me. Without the Japanese, I'd probably have never taken an interest in art. I feel like this picture looked similar to Japanese artwork, so I decided put in some Japanese elements (I.e. Sonata's name translated into Japanese).
I absolutely love, love, love the way she turned out! I once again stepped outside of my comfort zone on the shading after watching a few speedpaint video and looking at some tutorials to better my shading and lighting. I'm so glad I did! However, I feel like her shadow is a bit off, but that's probably because it was hard for me to position it, due to lack of space.
Sonatadasuku is a Japanese translation of Sonata Dusk. I attempted to write in Japanese, but I'm very much just a beginner when it comes to speaking/writing Japanese.
Edit: I know the hand is on backwards because the thumb is on the wrong side of the hand. I may or may not fix it; it's quite difficult to change up certain detaisl once things are set in stone.
Time: 20 hrs. 47 min.
